A little bit about me....

My name is Steve Nunn, I am 40 and live in a small village called Birling at the foot of the north downs.

My home is just a mile or so from New Hythe. I have 4 children 6 and under....a real handful.

Because of my family (and work) commitments I don't get out to my patch as often as I would like, or once did. I do however average a visit or two a week. I try to visit more often in the Spring and Autumn.

British wildlife is my main interest as well as photography. Most of my pictures are taken with either a Canon 10D or Panasonic FZ7.

I have recently bought a Canon 40D so will mainly use that for new pictures.

I have a variety of lens including

  • Canon 100-400L IS
  • Sigma 120-300 f2.8
  • Tamron 90mm Macro
  • Sigma 180mm Macro
  • Canon 17-40L
  • Sigma 10-20mm
  • Sigma 24 - 70 f2.8

I use either a Manfrotto monopod or tripod.

I use Leica 8x32 bins and recently traded my large Swarovski scope for a Nikon ED50 - this encourages me to carry it around with me during my visits. This a fantastic 'scope and I can't recommend it highly enough.
